A tip from my friend John at the Rolling Road blog that I should trial the Nik software package from Google has made me realise how clever some of these new software programmes are. The following photos were taken using a relatively inexpensive small sensor Nikon S9100, converted from colour, using various film type settings that are available in the Efex menu and adding structure. I couldn't believe how much extra detail was revealed when compared to the original colour image. The photos were taken in Germany at Regensberg, Starnberg and Rupholding.
