A Good Bloke
In December of 2010 a lot of us lost a very good friend and all round good bloke. I cant ask Mark for his permission to use the following photos but somehow I don't think he would mind this small tribute. The photos were taken on Mark's last trip to Laguna Seca and Pebble Beach. During that visit he took thousands of photos, this is a very small selection from an amazing collection. The last photo is one that I took on the way to Mt. Kembla. Mark was very critical of a question that I had used in a club observation drive, ''where would you kiss at Bunnings'', he had a very sharp mind but could not find the answer. I asked him to stand beside this Porsche and after I took the photos explained that he was standing under a clump of Mistletoe. In keeping with the tone of my blog I won't print his reply here but let's just say it was quite colourful.
Corvette v Porsche at Laguna Seca
Not exactly a backroad but it is one of the best motor sport video clips I've seen. A visit to Laguna Seca and The Pebble Beach Councours has been added to my to do list.
Thanks to Speed for an excellent video.
