Barry Sheene Festival of Speed 2016

Sydney Motorsports Park

Not the best weather on Friday for the first day of this years event but the riders and machines made up for it. I have had an interest in motor sport since I was about 10 years old but didn't discover bike racing until SBS started to broadcast the 500cc world championship races with Barry Sheene as co-commentator. I still have an interest in some car events but bikes have taken over as my favourite motor sport fix.

I experimented with a variety of cameras and lenses at yesterdays event, a Nikon D5200 with their cheap as chips 1:1.8 35mm prime, a Sony A6000 with a 55-210 kit lens and my 44 year old Minolta 58/ 1:1.4 lens.
