Using a Rokkor 1:1.4 58mm lens on a Sony a6000

I was lucky that John at the Rolling Road blog decided to buy some old Rokkor lenses off Ebay, I had convinced myself that they wouldn't work on my new Sony a 6000. After reading his post about his ''new'' lenses and discussing them with him over lunch I followed his lead and ordered a Fotga lens adaptor from Hong Kong. A$11.87 including postage, I have no idea how it can be produced and sold for that price, quality is good and it fits the camera and the lens well.

I have three Rokkor lenses that I bought for my Minolta SRT101 in the 70's, the 58mm lens is now 43 years old and is in as new condition. The weather has been grey and overcast since the lens adaptor arrived but yesterday there were a few sunny breaks, I was able to take some early morning test shots with the 58mm. These are straight from the camera, no post processing apart from some light cropping on the letter box photo. I'm very happy with the camera so far and being able to use my old lenses is an added bonus.

I haven't had a chance to try the 28mm and the 70-210 yet.
