Mudgee weekend

Three days spent driving a Porsche, an interesting group of friends, good roads and one of Australia's best wine growing regions is a good way to spend some time.

The route took us up the Putty Rd. to Denman, Muswelbrook, Scone, Merriwa with two nights at Mudgee. The roads are in quite good condition for NSW and were free of the mobile speed cameras that usually haunt this area. Accommodation in Mudgee was in an old school house that had been converted into a B&B, it was superb.

Lunch on Sunday was at the Di Lusso winery, a fig, prosciutto and gorgonzola pizza with two glasses of their red wine. Delicious, even if it was 50% higher than Sydney prices.
